| 1974 |  Establishment of FRENOS ELÉCTRICOS UNIDOS S.A. (FRENELSA) by the union of the three companies above. |
| 1975 | First retarder exported. |
| 1975-1979 | Opening to the European, American and African markets. |
| 1983 | Launch of first axle with electric retarder for semitrailer. |
| 1989-1992 | Enlargement and modernization of R&D and Quality Departments. New test bench and laboratory. |
| 1991 | Establishment of German branch FRENELSA RETARDER G.m.b.H. |
| 1994 | Opening to the Asian market. |
| 1996 | Opening to the Oceania market. |
| 1997 |  Certificate of Quality System ISO 9001 is obtained. |
| 2001 | New enlarged facilities are inaugurated. |
