Chassis mounting

They are mounted between the transmission or gearbox and the differential of front engine vehicles (trucks and buses), between two pieces of drive-shaft.

These models cover a wide range of applications in industrial vehicles from 3 tons.

When assembling the retarder, the stator is fixed to the chassis with brackets and shockmounts, and the drive-shafts are fixed to the rotors.

Mounting on transmission or differential

It is mounted on vehicles where the distance between the transmission and the differential is so short that mounting the retarder between two transmission sections is not possible.

When assembling these retarders, the stator is fixed to the transmission or differential housing and the rotors are fixed, on one side to the output plate of the transmission or to the input plate of the differential, and on the opposite side to the drive-shafts.

What voltage does it work with?

Both with 12V and 24V depending on the vehicle.anto con 12V.

How is it controlled?

Manually through a lever on the dashboard and/or automatically through the brake pedal.

Does it suffer any wear?

No. As they are electromagnetic brakes, there is no friction or wear, so it also has the advantage that the emission of harmful particles into the environment is considerably reduced.
